Thumbscrew bio

Daniel Maldonado: Vocals
Drew Lakin: Guitar
Chris Johnson: Guitar
Nathan Palmer: Bass
Poopie Sanchez: Drums

Taking cues from Converge, Into The Moat, Dillinger Escape Plan, Ed Gein and Botch but adding its own uncontrolled insanity, and southern influence Austin, TX's chaos machines, Thumbscrew, formed in early-2001. The band's early efforts would be captured on the band's 'All Is Quiet' CD for Counterintelligence Recordings (Kill The Client, Parallax), followed by a string of tours in the South and East Coast. The CD would give Thumbscrew to instant buzz for the underground of extreme music, thanks to rave reviews by musicians, listeners, and critics alike.

Thumbscrew continued to tour with bands such as Six Feet Under, Sworn Enemy, Animostiy, and Job For A Cowboy, while writing and preparing for their next release. "Within Hearts of Redemption" was recorded with Josh Wardrip at Orphic Studios in Austin, TX and released on July 25, 2006 via Imagine It Records. "The new material is much heavier and pissed off then our older stuff." says singer Daniel Maldonado.
