SEX PISTOLS BACK FOR BRIXTON GIG
Punk legends the Sex Pistols are to reform for a one-off gig in London.
Thirty years after the release of their only studio album, the genre-defining Never Mind the B******s, Here's the Sex Pistols, four of the band's original members will reappear four years after their most recent reunion.
John Lydon, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock will be playing at the Brixton Academy on November 8th, giving middle-aged fans a chance to relive their spiky-haired youth. Tickets go on sale on Friday.
"Maybe it's because we're all Londoners, but there would be no Sex Pistol without dear old London town," frontman Lydon told the NME.
Adopting a vaguely poetical tone, he added: "See you all at Brixton with proper feelings and proper people all around. From London Bridge to the Rose And Crown, all of Britain is welcome so come on down."
The Pistols' latest reform follows last week's announcement that another 1970s band are to get back together for a one-off live date.
Led Zeppelin will play the O2 arena on November 26th. At least 20 million people have registered for the chance to get hold of one of the show's £125 tickets.
