We all know by now who is in XBishopX as they have been getting their name out there ever since the members split from their previous bands to create yet another hardcore band. “Suicide Party” is a damn strong debut release but one can’t be so surprised of such a thing as the members are quite seasoned in the ways of well written hardcore and this really is some fine hardcore.
This is one of the more fun hardcore albums to come along in past months as the band makes genuine songs of calling out the asshole fakes and condemning the suckers. This is the type of aggression that hardcore has strived on since the days of Sheer Terror putting out “Just Can’t Hate Enough” and meaning it. Short breathed songs that come and go and all within two minutes time there’s bound to be someone bleeding and not from breakdown frenzies but from the classical approach to hardcore which didn’t have to rely on alot of tired breakdowns to gain attention. The circle pits will surely be the way once again with bands like XBishopX coming about.
The songs “Wreck”, “Next Big Thing”, and pretty much every other song on the album takes on the fuck you approach and encourages the demeanor of all who fail as human beings whether it be by ways of addiction or being untrustworthy, or by just being an asshole. Plenty of parts to sing along to, plenty of parts to head walk your way to the front and always that attitude that hardcore thrives off of. XBishopX are already making their name and within due time they will only get bigger and bigger because of their excellent know how to create the music that they have always been passionate for.
